Types of e-mail addresses under the rump.dk-domain

You may choose between to types of e-mail addresses under the rump.dk-domain:

An e-mail account where the e-mail resides on the rump.dk mail-server until it is fetched by an e-mail program or via a browser from the e-mail server.
An e-mail alias where the e-mail is forwarded to another e-mail address, e.g. a company account or a web-baset e-mail service.

A rump.dk e-mail alias may forward on to another rump.dk e-mail address!
If you get an e-mail account under the rump.dk domain, we recommend that you also get an e-mail alias which is used as your primary e-mail address, which forwards your e-mail to the e-mail account!
The setup makes it easy to change receiver address, for instance company e-mail address and the name of the "real" e-mail account will remain hidden and make it more secure for hackers.
And then it is free to create rump.dk e-mail aliases which forwards e-mail to a rump.dk e-mail account!

Setup of the e-mail program

There are so many different e-mail programs and version of programs that it will be impossible to describe exactly how each e-mail program is setup, so here follows a generel description, which I hope gives all the information needed.
